Kawe Mahara Queer Archives Aotearoa has a long history of collecting queer and takatāpui taonga, and started as a resource centre for queer people in the 1970s. We're a volunteer-run queer community archive based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, and collect personal and organisational papers of rainbow people and groups throughout Aotearoa, as well as ephemera, oral histories, artworks, photographs and other taonga.
